(Industrial) networks
Membership ensures we stay globally leading and tuned with industrial needs
Through our membership of industry organizations, we can keep track of new trends and developments in the related markets and translate them into the contents of our research roadmaps.
Industry organizations and standardization bodies
For our Flexible Electronics activities, key amongst these is the Organic Electronics Association (OE-A). The OE-A’s members represent the whole process chain in organic electronics and include component and material suppliers, equipment and tool suppliers, producers and system integrators, end-users and research institutes.
Holst Centre is also represented on several IEEE wireless standardization committees. This enables us to keep abreast of developments and give input on emerging standards. For example, from our past involvement on the IEEE.15.4a working group, the technology program on Ultra low power wireless communication was able to develop the world’s first UWB transceiver compliant with this standard.
As part of the Body-Area Networks program, we are also member of the Continua Health Alliance. This alliance aims to develop interoperable personal telehealth solutions and includes industry leaders in technology, medical devices and health care.
Solliance
With its activities on Organic Photovoltaics (OPV), Holst Centre participates in Solliance, a regional R&D initiative with global focus. Solliance is the alliance of TNO, TU/e, imec, ECN and Holst Centre for research and development in the field of thin film photovoltaic solar energy (PV) in the ELAT-region (Eindhoven-Leuven-Aachen triangle). Solliance’s ambition is to strengthen the position of the region as a world player in thin film PV.
