Seeds for future programs
As Holst Centre and its partner network grows, we continuously look for new application domains for which we can build technology demonstrators. This makes our research more tangible for parties thinking about joining Holst Centre. It also gives existing partners a clear understanding of the technology potential of our research.
Existing Technology Integration Programs mainly focus on the domains of:
On an almost continuous basis, we investigate the potential of our technologies for other domains, such as:
- Healthcare and wellness
- Sport and lifestyle
- Automotive
- Home and industrial construction
- Industrial process monitoring and control
- Environmental and agricultural monitoring
- Mobile gaming
- Transport, logistics and asset management
- …
Based on a couple of macro-trends and current market interests, we identify candidates for addition to our research matrix. For all cases to be considered, we have to see an external market pull, technical requirements in extension of our current portfolio, and a potentially large societal benefit that is supported by many stakeholders, not in the least our researchers.
Before we offer a new program to potential partners, we setup a clear roadmap through workshops and one-to-one interactions with industrial and academic players in the field. We encourage interested parties to contact us with any visions or ideas that could help us shape our activities to the needs of the industry.
